Conveniently located on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, within easy reach of both the A30 and A303, The Green Dragon is a great family pub - offering a choice of comfortable bars and good food, with free live music on alternate Fridays. And you’ll get a really warm welcome from landlords Helen & Trevor.

Pull up outside and you won’t see the traditional pub sign, but an amazingly carved dragon—the work of landlord Trevor, who, when he isn’t lovingly looking after his beer, is one of the area’s foremost woodcarvers.

Go inside and you’ll find more of Trevor’s work. Fascinating and slightly surreal, his carvings can be seen throughout the pub. Some feature caricatures of local people – and are a novel attraction. You may even be tempted to ask him to create one for you!
